ALBEMARLE CORP.

ALBEMARLE CORP. has acquired the combustible matter and lubricant antioxidants business of its former parent Ethyl Corp. Financial confines of the sale were not disclosed. Ethyl's line of antioxidants and mingles is used to enlarge the storage life and thermal stability of a range of firing and lubricant products.

Albemarle was spun not on from Ethyl in 1994 and has been manufacturing phenolic antioxidants for Ethyl since then.
